The Young Singers' Welfare Foundation is a charitable trust that supports UK-based self-employed professional classical singers under the age of 40 who suffer financial hardship as a result of a serious medical condition or illness, such as cancer. The support given is either in the form of a one-off grant or payment for items, services or facilities, such as private medical treatment if required. We also provide a referral service to other organisations who may be able to assist on a case-by-case basis. All applications are dealt with in the strictest of confidence. Our aim is to prevent promising young singers leaving the profession as a consequence of financial strain caused by illness.
